Position Title:      School Support Personnel 6-8 - Lunch Monitor


Reports to:          Building Principal or designee


FLSA:                   Non-Exempt

 

Terms of Employment:   Staff - 10 month - Class B with benefits according to the LEA

Unit D collective bargaining agreement.

 

Immediate start date.  10 hours per week.  Unit D Salary Range (FY23 rates, will increase upon completed negotiations)

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in administrative, clerical, financial or secretarial work, preferably in a school environment, working with children; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification and experience.  

 

Must have knowledge of office management principles and practices, and computer systems, word processing and photocopying. Knowledge of child development.

 

Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with the public, officials and department personnel; ability to work independently in an efficient manner; ability to communicate effectively; ability to maintain a record keeping systems; ability to operate a telephone and standard office equipment; ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner; ability to deal tactfully with disgruntled people. 

 

Skill in operating computers and applicable word processing; excellent customer service skills.  Must have skill in dealing with children.
